Rookie netminder Ty Edmonds made 31 saves for his first WHL shutout as the Prince George Cougars (3-3) blanked the visiting Victoria Royals 2-0 Tuesday night.

Zach Pochiro and Klarc Wilson scored first period goals, giving the Cougars their 2nd win in a row.

Both clubs were unable to score with the man advantage as Victoria was 0/6 and Prince George 0/5.

Coleman Vollrath made 25 saves in the defeat as the Royals outshot the Cougars 31-27 overall.

Ben Walker fought Pochiro in the second period, while his brother Jack hit a post in the middle frame.

The Royals who fall to 2-4, will look to earn the split Wednesday night.
