Preview: Victoria at Prince George, Wed. Oct 10

Tonight the Royals look to avenge a 2-0 loss to the Cougars in Prince George in the back half of a two game set.

Victoria started the 4 game BC Division road trip with a 4-3 shoot out win in Kelowna Saturday, overcoming a 2 goal third period deficit but were unable to complete the come back Tuesday.

Rookie netminder Ty Edmunds made 31 saves for his first WHL shut out and 3rd win in his 3rd start this season for the Cougars.  Coleman Vollrath made 25 saves in the defeat.

Prince George got a pair of first period goals by Zach Pochiro and Klarc Wilson which held over a scoreless final two frames.  Victoria outshot the opposition 31-27, however they were unable to click on 6 man advantages.  Their penalty kill was a perfect 5 for 5.

Victoria falls to 2-4 on the season, while Prince George takes top spot in the division with a 3-3 record, riding a two game home win streak.

After tonight, the Royals wrap up 3 games in 4 nights on the road against the Blazers Friday.

This evening Victoria looks for the split in Prince George.
